THE PROCESS
01. Explore
Take a moment to browse through my portfolio and get a feel for my style — the way I shoot, edit, and tell stories. If it speaks to you, I’d love to hear from you.
02. Say Hello
Send a message and introduce yourself! We can continue the conversation over email or a video chat — whatever feels best for you. I’ll walk you through my pricing, packages, and everything you need to know to bring your session or wedding day to life.
03. Book your session
Once you’re ready, we’ll make it official! I’ll send over a contract and invoice, and once that’s signed and the retainer is paid, your date is secured. You’ll also receive a short questionnaire so I can help with anything you might need — like timelines, outfit advice, or a shot list. My goal is to make sure you feel fully prepared and excited.
04. Celebrate
Enjoy every moment while I document it all. Your full gallery will be delivered within 4-6 weeks — ready to download, print, and relive whenever you’d like.
You won’t be left wondering what to do — I’ll guide you with gentle posing, movement prompts, and space to be yourself
FAQ
-
I always recommend reaching out as soon as you know you’d like a session — it’s never too early to get on the calendar. During the busy seasons, I usually book photoshoots on weekdays since weekends are often filled with weddings. That said, if you’re hoping for a weekend, don’t hesitate to ask. If I’m available, I’d love to make it work!
-
I’m based in Boston and photograph sessions throughout the surrounding area. I’m always happy to travel to places that are meaningful to you—just share your ideal spot when you inquire, and I’ll confirm what’s possible and include any travel fee in your custom quote before you book.
-
I edit every image that tells the story best — all the good ones make the cut. I don’t like putting a strict number on it because every session is different, but on average, I deliver 50+ photos per hour. I never hold back, so you can expect a full, beautiful gallery with plenty of images to love.
-
If it rains, I’ll absolutely work with you to reschedule — your session fee can be credited toward a future date. I typically wait until we’re within 24 hours of the shoot to make any weather-related calls, since forecasts in Massachusetts can change fast (sometimes even just a couple hours ahead). That said, not all clouds are bad! Overcast skies can create beautiful, soft light that photographs incredibly well. So if the sun’s hiding, don’t worry — your photos will still be magical.
-
I don’t deliver RAW or unedited images. Careful editing is a big part of how I tell your story and keep your gallery cohesive. The final images you receive are thoughtfully polished to reflect my creative vision and the experience you booked me for. You’ll receive plenty of high‑resolution, fully edited images ready to print and share!
-
Neutrals or earthy tones are always a beautiful choice — they photograph so well and won’t take the attention away from you. Try to avoid bold patterns or logos, as they can be distracting. I usually suggest bringing two outfits: one casual and one a little more dressed up, so we can add variety. Be mindful of the location and how your outfit fits the setting. And if you’re unsure, I’m always here to help — whether it’s sharing outfit inspiration, helping you plan the vibe, or giving honest feedback on what you’re thinking of wearing.
-
I love when pets join in—they’re such a big part of your everyday story, and as a dog person myself I completely get how important they are. Just let me know ahead of time who’s coming (and any quirks I should know about) so I can plan our location, timing, and breaks with them in mind. That way everyone—furry and human—stays comfortable, and we can create images that feel playful, natural, and very “you”.
-
Absolutely! If you’re feeling a little awkward in front of the camera — you’re not alone. I’d say 95% of my clients tell me the same thing. While my shooting style is very candid, I also give lots of gentle direction during sessions. I’ll guide you on where to stand, what to do with your hands, and offer little prompts to help you move naturally. I always leave space for real connection and am watching for those in-between moments that feel like you. You’ll settle in before you know it, and the magic will unfold from there.
